City centre buzz

A lot more tourists around than the last time I was in the city centre (last February?)
A lot more hyenas as well. Hold on to your bag, and wallet, and camera little tourist. The scangers are roaming.

Don't get me wrong, I do love living in Dublin, for a whole lot of reasons that remain vaguely mysterious, or at least hard to comprehend, for Mrs Raheny.
But yesterday I was very much aware of a predatory element on the streets of the city centre. There seems to be a desperation for fast high risk cash that I had not seen since the early 90s... Looks like the recession is hitting the laborious junkie masses and this is worrying... worrying indeed.
