Bye for now, Supper.
So it's our final evening with Lee and Kirsty.
As I mentioned last week, my old friends from Blitz Games came down for the week to explore the island. These pair were naturally also part of the 175 who lost their jobs, but found out from a phone call whilst exploring Shanklin Chine.
They seem in good spirits though, and are glad that they were doing enjoyable things at the time of it all.
So I fed them up well before their journey home!
I made my speciality vegan lasagne, with sweet potato wedges, cashew salad (with chilli and fig dressing), garlic bread, all followed up with a bowl of Cornish clotted cream ice cream (they're not vegans, so this treat was perfectly acceptable ;))
They'll sleep well tonight.
We ended the evening with a board game or two, and now it's time for bed.
Here's wishing them a good trip home, and a solid week of arrangements.
Personally I think they'll just enjoy putting more of the IOW cider to good use for a few nights ;)
