In the Dark

At exactly 3:08 p.m. today, the power went out. We were watching the end of the Duck game (Oregon football) and suddenly...fizzle. I went for a bike ride thinking it would pop right back on. Five hours later, here we are doing crossword puzzles by candlelight. Part of me wanted to grumble about it, then I checked the Portland General Electric website and it said the reason for the outage was a vehicle accident. Hard to grumble about lost power when someone else had an obviously worse day.
