A Bank of Marigolds

The longest walk I've been on in many months took me from the beach at Taylors Mistake to the ridge above Boulder Bay (see the map if the location interests you). I passed by this wonderful bank of marigolds on the way, high above the sea. They're certainly not natives to New Zealand, but I thought that they were vibrantly beautiful - they must be a garden break-out. My knee seems to have survived ok but I guess if it's going to play up it'll be in bed tonight.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful response to yesterday's Sunrise on Sumner Beach - it hit the Spotlight! I'm delighted you liked it so much :)

Tomorrow is the first day of Horomaka's Rainbow Challenge. So, every day this week there's going to be an emphasis on a different colour. That's going to have me digging deep!
