Honeypots in the peaks

It's a long time since I've been to Castleton, I quickly remembered why, it's really really really busy! Very pretty though in a way the bleak highlands could never be. Tori and I had fun trying to out beat each other on amusing bits of knowledge, mine consisted of the number of second homes in Castleton, why there is a cement works in the middle of the national park and the stupidity of trying to build a road on Mam Tor. I did a good job of explaining the difference between the dark and while peak too, and in finding sink holes and fossils. Tori, as you can imagine, was more interested in old forts :-(

We then cashed in our feeling old card and conducted a pub crawl through Castleton for hot chocolate and cream tea. All in all a lovely Saturday trip out.
