One minute to midnight

And a quick blip before the deadline! This is my local train platform as passengers (including me) leave the last train of the day.

I had a great night with my work colleagues, all in aid of waving goodbye to a friend who has taken the brave life decision of leaving London, where she's lived and worked for five years, to go home to Greece. We made masks of her favourite Greek and British heroes, and some people even wore sheets as togas, then surprised her as she came into the pub. It was fun! Most of us had brought in Greek food to enjoy - yum.

I chatted the night away very happily and discovered that people who thought they would be made redundant have been told that their jobs are safe. Phew. I'm really pleased for them - it's been a hellish six weeks of uncertainty for them.

I also discovered that one of my colleagues is also going to see U2 tomorrow night. I'm so excited!
