A life in pictures...

Jethou

Jethou is a small island that is part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. It is immediately south of Herm and has an area of approximately 44 acres. It is privately leased, and not open to the public. However, today it was open! A group of 250 paying guests took the short boat trip across to Jethou. We were allowed to walk around the paths, see the flowers, the observatory and the rugged cliffs. All rounded off with a glass of Pimms in the garden. This is a view from the south east of the island, looking towards Sark and Brecqou in the distance. It was so clear we could even see France on the horizon! :-)

PS My blip from Friday was a Leycesteria Formosa. I found this out today by showing the photo to the owner of a local garden centre, who happened to be on the trip to Jethou. Small world. :-)
