Glen Sallach in the rain....

returned from Sutherland last night instead of today because of all the horrendous weather warnings about storms and gales heading our way. Hasn't been that bad, just a bit of wind and heavy showers here anyway! I do wonder how many other people enjoying their long weekend off headed home early unnecessarily!

Took a wee run over the high road from Barcaldine to Bonawe which is called Glen Sallach. I played and cycled on this glen a lot as a child (it's quite a challenging cycle up it!) and always loved it. We used to put coins in a little wishing well near this waterfall and make a wish. No coins now but great memories.
