National Bird Carving Championships

Every year Bakewell plays host to the National Bird Carving Championships and as mayor you get asked to come along and present the prizes.
It's a lovely event to be part of as the standard is really high and it's amazing how lifelike the carvings are.
This year there was a bit of controversy when he winning carving was of a fish..
It was a grayling, superbly carved and came with a worm hanging from its mouth.
