Sunshine and showers

A day of sun and rain. This didn’t worry us unduly, as we had planned to stay here anyway. In actual fact there was a lot more sun than rain and the couple of thundery showers were quite spectacular.

Here’s a view from just outside our house looking down on the lower part of the village and the land around. In the distance you can see another hilltop village, Lacoste and behind that are the Luberon mountains.

Here is the same view a few hours later with storm clouds and rain in the distance. Just before the storm reached us.

And here are two gentlemen in the Boulangerie this morning. Were they discussing the football results? No, it was a heated discussion as to which gateau to choose to take home for the family lunch. There are lots of things I like about France. The attitude to food is one!
