These are the trimmings from using my new guillotine on the book blocks for the first time today. It is so satisfying cutting a rough edged book down to make them crisp and smooth.. the perfect job for a wet and windy day. I had taken a load of ready made book blocks to an office supplier who said he could put them through his guillotine but unfortunately he trashed them all by cutting them with no right angles in sight!!! So today I was finally able to straighten them all up and rescue them.. tomorrow we will start the covers.. very exciting stuff.

Hope no one is getting too flooded out today the forecast was pretty extreme for the north of the country.. do hope they were wrong!
