The thermostat has broken on the cooker. It's either nuclear or nothing without a variation in between. Makes cooking a bit of a challenge, nevertheless I managed to turn out a dozen egg custard tarts and 4 caramelised fruit tarts and not a soggy bottom in sight. Mary would have been proud
