The Cold War survives in.......
...............Scotland's Secret Bunker near St Andrew's. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. It's a series of tunnels and rooms under a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. This was to be used in case of nuclear war, and, besides the listening posts, radar etc included room for the Minister for War and other dignitaries to move in. It never needed to be used in reality, but whenever I go there I'm transported back to the 60s when I thought nuclear war was a real and present threat.
