time for stormy weather

We took a trip up the Cape, just he and I. First time in nearly three years that I have been apart from Em overnight. It wasn't strange and I didn't fret, knowing she was in the very capable hands of her Grandparents. We revelled in relinquishing our parental duties for the night. A lovely hotel on the beach, spa, good food, all on our own terms. The clouds came over but the rain stayed away allowing us to take a post dinner walk along the beach. The sand was cold on my toes.
