The Glasgow Tenement
I've been meaning to snap this view for a while. I went past it today and only had my mobile so I snapped using it which is unusual for me.
I think this is a cracking example of a very typical Glasgow tenement building. The tenements were built in the late Victorian era and were, in the early days, categorised as being overcrowded and disease-ridden with many families having only one room in which to live.
Today the tenements are simply beautiful. Large rooms, airy spaces and a great place to live. Glasgow has more of these dwelling places than anywhere else in the UK.
Here's more of the history and details of a great NTS place to visit to boot!
