Life Cycle of a Rose

It seems odd to be photographing a blush pink rose when the trees are turning to orange, yellow, and red, the sedum blossoms are turning coppery pink, and the hydrangeas are starting to dry out, but the light was so beautiful, I couldn't resist.

I also like how this shot shows the whole span of a rose's life, from bud to petal drop.
