A spot of tiffin....

.... Sunday morning and the the weather broke last night, expected rains and gales arrived making the Hotel indoor facilities busier. The Tour of Britain grand depart from Peebles looked hellish in the rain, but I'm sure the junior teams would welcome the levelling effect.

Nothing dampened our spirits as we played badminton, swam, cycled and ate our way through the day. Highlight was sandwiches, cakes, cream and jam Aftenoon Tea in the Winter Garden. Nice to catch-up with Alison and Eve who came up to join us too.

Later, Nancy and I walked down the hill into Crieff to purchase some tasty ales (although to be fair to the hotel, they stock a good range of Scottish ales on tap and in the bottle, just a bit more pricey) and get a feel for the atmosphere. Nice wee place Crieff; a decent choice of eateries, but the pubs look like they are toiling to compete with the supermarkets. The Tower at the east end was the pick for me.
