Unpacking
I bought the parasol to keep me from passing out from sunstroke. Hope might like to have it.
My selection doesn't include a lot of the sights but I hope it's representative of my time in Rome.
This morning while taking the bus into the Stazione Temini to catch the shuttle bus to the airport we witnessed perhaps the highlight of the trip but unfortunately with no photographic evidence.
A guy in his late 20s (with lovely teeth, Gen thought false) jumped on the bus with a can of coke in one hand and a dog lead with dog in his other. As he leapt on board his jeans slid to his ankles! He managed to pull them up and tried to regain his cool. Everyone on the bus just laughed.
Whether it was to apologise or try to divert attention from the incident he started to talk to us, Mary in particular. It turned out he was from London and worked in the Vatican or so he claimed. He was also heading for Hollywood. I think that was when we thought that he was definitely a plonker who was also a bit 'tired and emotional' even though it was 7.30 in the morning!
Anyway, apart from being a tad warm (35/36 degrees each day) it's a great city, with great food. And I will be back, threw the coin in the Trevvi of course!
I shattered so off to bed.
