The old picture of the anchor on "Kvitungen"

"Kvitungen" in Norwegian means "The White Baby", the name of a seal hunting vessel used by the sealers some years ago around Greenland and the Artic zone. It was build 1921 and was operating hunting seals until about 1968. My interest in the vessel is that I have one of the anchors from the ship, that can be seen on the port bow, or I might have the similar one from the starport bow. I have had the anchor for about a year. I have searched to find the history behind it. I got the anchor in Alesund, the West coast of Norway. "Kvitungen" was 1969 sunk in the fjord Gangstovika by Alesund. Knowing the history of my anchor makes it a bit more valuable to me, I believe.
