Well I'm really surprised. We inherited a really old overgrown grape vine when we bought this house.

We have had grapes before but too many, too small, and too sour.

Last winter I pruned the vine within an inch of its life, and for some time suspected I had really gone too far. But now we have a manageable supply of grapes, sweet enough to eat, sweet enough to photograph
