The Bus was Packed
We took the bus into Como today. The bus was full shortly after it left Lenno. Roughly half the passengers by my estimation were British. We were feeling quite sorry for locals who find their bus full because it is packed with foreigners.
Remind me never to drive a bus or truck on the lake road. It is a real struggle to cope with the road which is very narrow in places. it took about ten minutes for our bus to get past a car transporter coming the other way.
Not a great day on the weather front, but at least it had stopped raining, In the afternoon we had a glass of Prosecco at the roof top bar of COIN, a departmental store in the centre of Como. The photograph is taken from there and shows a view of the Duomo (Cathedral).
We returned to Lenno by ferry. It was quite busy and during the journey it became quite cool, possibly with a light shower. Everybody including ourselves took cover below decks. Why is it as soon as people are forced inside they head straight for the bar. I admit I was not an exception to the general trend. Bar takings on the boat must have been higher than average today.
Happily on arrival at Lenno it was not raining and reasonably war,. A walk back to the apartment with a brief stop at a local shop for supplies. Weather forecast for tomorrow is more or less back to normal. Let's hope it is correct.
