Always Ready

The engineers and pilots of HMS Gannet were out tonight testing Rescue 30 on the apron. Sounded like they brought her up to full power for the test before shutting her down again.

You don’t often see two of them out at the same time.

These birds are always ready to head off in an emergency to help people in distress. Shortly however they will be replaced by new helicopters and a private sector company.

Very grey day with lots of rain. What happened to the Indian summer they told us was coming.
