Big Foot
Another lazy day off from work...
We headed into town to see the 'Witches and Wicked Bodies' exhibition at the National Galleries... not bad, although seeing an original version of Matthew Hopkins book The Discovery of Witches, was rather creepy... despite my journal title I'm not a witch, but I am a feminist and a bit of a crone... this exhibition of prints, drawings and paintings from the 15th century to present day, mostly produced by men, seems to say more about them than about the women they were accusing....
The big foot in the picture has nothing to do with the exhibition, but is part of the figure on permanent display at the gallery ... it's by Eduardo Paolozzi and always makes me think of a giant transformer, standing in it's glory in the cafe, where they serve very nice scones :-)
