Yes, it is SWMBO's birthday today, not that the hints dropped over recent weeks would have failed to remind me. This was the cause of yesterday's 'urgent shopping stuff' when I was more prepared to just curl up in bed and let the world go by (now there's dedication for you) due to some bug which has struck with a vengeance.
