An evening's work

As promised last weekend, there was more cake to be made for the joint party. This little lot didn't take as long to finish as I'd been expecting - I even had time to load party bags and drink some wine once I'd finished!

I pontificated about the pleasures of birthday cake decoration last year. Much of that still holds true, although a year on I think I'm definitely more at peace with my role. (And, it has to be said, I far prefer playing with buttercream than fondant icing! Next year I shall have to guide their cake choices accordingly...!)
