There and back again

New Shed!

I think that I’ve mentioned that I was getting rid of my shed and in its place we are going to have a summerhouse so when we were away my son-in-law has dismantled it for me and it’s now residing on the beginnings of a large bonfire being built for a charity event in November.

I had that shed for nearly 25 years so I have had my monies worth from it and all that is left today is these foundations of the old one which we hope will suit our new one.

Over the years I have always constructing things, back in the 1970’s I build an 11ft sailing dingy in a spare bed room of the house we were living in at Camborne in Cornwall which meant a window had to be removed to get it out!

Once we bought our house here Mrs M wisely made me get a shed to work/play in. Over the years it has produced model boats, picture frames, matts for my photographs and as a repair centre for everything. However over the years as my interest’s have differed it has become a storage place for old tins or paint and all things not needed in the house.

So the desperate need for a make over led to the decision that it had had its day and although I was offered the choice of getting a replacement for it we decided a summer house would fill out need better.. So watch this space, its been ordered and its we await its delivery. I have enclosed a picture of what we are getting but ours wont be brown!!!
