Respite

It's like respite care, going to Gran and Grandad's house!! Bear decided as we got ready to go that he wanted to take his bike with us. Mum thinks he thought we were going for a walk, he seemed a bit confused when the bike got put in the car. But he was very cute with his bag on his back (near toppled him over!!) pushing his bike up the driveway to Gran and Grandad's house!

I took my crochet with me. And finished off the front panel of a cushion I'm working on! That's how much I actually got to actually sit down and not be continually stopping Bear from going into cupboards and drawers! Bean and Bear and Grandad must have played solid with the cars for an hour before lunch, and then they both ate an incredibly decent lunch of beefburger and scrambled eggs and chocolate muffins, then the train track came out and they played all together with that for at least an hour until Grandad needed a break so they went off to read books together. Bear decided that was a good time to come for a cuddle and to fall asleep so once he was safely transferred to a bed Bean and Grandad got Noah's Ark out and carried on playing!

Auntie Joan arrived, Bear stirred and came downstairs for the second half of his nap, was persuaded to wake up with the suggestion of getting some berries from the fridge, he offered some plum to Auntie Joan, then took her hand and led her into the living room to play with the toys :D

Steve got in quite late, traffic had been pretty bad; but he seemed in a good mood. The boys ate really well at dinner (happy Gran!) and when Bear went crazy we packed up and headed home. And this time the boys didn't fall asleep in the car. So I didn't get to chat to Steve at all really. But hey. I got my crochet project done ;)
