Some things about today:

- up super early (sunrise blip); thankfully my waking thought was that I forgot to buy my train tickets last night - managed that with seconds to spare.

- ended up sitting opposite Francis and Laura on the train: about a million tiny coincidences conspired to make that one happen.

- Jenna told me she got an a* at A level geography, then proceeded to ask me where England is.

- tried to make a hood from my scarf to aid my dash to Sainsburys but it failed me and I got utterly drenched.

- now I'm sat opposite a man who - until just now when he answered the phone with "hello, Mark speaking" - I was convinced was John Simm.
