Hop To It...

Very used to seeing Lubber GrassHoppers...have to say that they Creep me out a bit! This Little Beauty, however, is an American Bird GrassHopper, Not a Lubber!

Field Guide says that they range from Florida to Mexico year-round; north to Ontario and southern parts of Canadian prairie provinces in summer only. Seems they cannot tolerate heat, so migrate north in summer.

Hope seeing this Sweet Hopper foretells the coming of Fall!
