TRIP TO KARELIA, DAY 1

Karelia is a large region most of it now belonging to Russia. See Wikipedia about its very dramatic history.
Anyway I was with 7 other people (+ driver) from Kotka Photographic Center in Karelia (Russian side) for five days.
We drove around Lake Ladoga, Europe´s biggest lake. Total length of our trip was about 2000 km. Third of the roads were in very bad condition with average speed for the bus about 30 km/hour.
So, we spent very much time in the bus.
This girl walking her two dogs was blipped in the evening in Sortavala, where we spent our first night.
