Slime mould

A slow drive south in atrocious weather conditions put paid to a planned visit to a nature reserve in the Midlands. Once again, it was night-fall with no natural history photograph for the day. However, I took a look at a plasic container where I've assembled some decaying material from my reserve and it seems there is some interesting activity in the form of slime moulds and other moulds. This photo must serve as a taster - I'm hoping for some spectacular structures to photograph over the next few weeks.
