Immortality
On a damp, chilly night the choir gathered for its first sight of a new cantata composed by Alun Grafton, one of our Tenors, Immortality. Part of the text is translated from Vergil. The Aeneid
I have lived and I have finished the course that fortune had given me, now a great ghost of me shall go under the earth
Immortality can take many forms, and having a building named after you is right up there. The Arts Centre where we rehearse has honoured Oscar Wilde by naming its prime performance space after him: Wilde Theatre.
