Exciting Times!

After many years of discussion, construction has begun on our church building. The original structure was built in 1949 and is dire need of some updates. Next summer we will have air conditioning! There is activity on the back side also, with new entrances that allow for an elevator. There will also be new offices and a gathering room.

The best part is that 3 or 4 years ago we didn't know what was going to happen with this congregation. Because of policy changes in the ELCA that would allow gay/lesbian pastors to be ordained, about one-third of our people left to start a new congregation. Those of us who didn't have a problem with this have stayed and Trinity is now growing, and is a happy, welcoming place to be!
