Rare 8m tall flower

I expect Guernsey blippers have noticed this plant situated on a main road. It features in the Guernsey Press today, and so I thought I would cycle past this afternoon and blip it, as the weather has improved, and my bicycle which was a bit clunky last Sunday has been mended - the back wheel was loose!
The plants are known as agave or century plants and live for decades, before flowering once and dying.
