Anyone who has never been to the Saturday cinema shows for children won't get it.

You had to be there to here the noise which sounded when something dramatic was about to happen?

I have taken this view of Wakefield Town Hall so many times in the last 50 years or so. Looking from the top of Westgate up the alley at the back of Barclay's Bank.

I passed this morning, on the way home from the dentist, and saw the clock-tower in the sun, without the scaffolding which has shrouded it all summer. It took me back to wandering that way as a youth with one of my early cameras looking for something, anything, to make a picture of. Then, each lens purchase saw the same view being captured to check the resolution of the new toy.
