September Challenge: Day 5 ....

Simplicity.

After yesterday's loooong day I slept in a little bit. But not too late as we want to make the most of our time here.

We spent the morning just relaxing and waiting for my sisters to arrive. My one sister, B, lives here and California but my other sister, N, lives in New York and traveled here to surprise me for my big birthday on Saturday!

Once they arrived we went back down to San Diego to Balboa Park. Later tonight we are attending a play down in the San Diego area so we spent the day in the area.

Balboa Park was just lovely and the architecture of the buildings amazing.

We had plenty of time after our tour of the park, so we headed towards Downtown San Diego and the legendary Hotel Del Coronado. This picture was taken as we drove over the Coronado bridge. I liked the simplicity of the shot.

We met up with my brother-in-law (H) and niece (C) for dinner at TGI Friday's and then headed back to Coronado island for the play ~ 39 Steps. Super funny!

After the play we asked C if she could drive us to a spot that we could see the San Diego skyline ~ so beautiful at night. We didn't have a tripod but we still got some good photos. I may add these to my flickr account at some point.

By the time we got back to my mom's it was time for bed! Busy fun packed day!
