Sweet Japanese Glacier

Today Lina and I met up for Japanese ramen for dinner. After that we had a Japanese dessert. It was essentially a mountain of shaved ice, but it was shaved in long threads, almost like spaghetti. We picked toasted almonds, Japanese koala bear cookies (that are filled with chocolate), and sweetened milk to top our glacier. It was delicious!

Lina also taught me a new English word, "phubbing." As I understand, it comes from "phone" and "snubbing." Someone is phubbing if they are paying more attention to their phone than people in a social setting (where it would be polite to be conversing.) Maybe it's already a common word where you live, but it was a first for me. Gotta love it when my Thai friends teach me a new English word. :)
