Oo Shopper Friendly Gadget!

Our local Tesco, which happens to be the biggest in Wales has gone space age!! They have just installed these new gadgets called Scan and Shop and it was my first time of using one today and I was very impressed. So easy to just scan your items as you go along and put them in your shopping bags, and also displays a running total too! Brilliant!
There is now a scan and shop designated tills area where you take your shopping, scan your handheld unit and then more or less away to go! Obviously have to pay too!
Because it was my first time of using this system, one of the customer assistants had to randomly check 5 items to make sure they had been scanned.
What I should've asked is; how does the store know if a customer has scanned everything??? Answers on a postcard please!!
Earlier in the day, me and hubby went for a cycle ride locally and then we watched the Tour of Britain which had a really exciting finish in Llanberis, with Mark Cavendish coming first over the finish line. Very close run thing in the end but a fab win. Bradley Wiggins is still in 1st place so will be looking out for him and Cav when me and hubby go and watch the Tour of Britain take on Caerphilly Mountain twice over tomorrow. Keeping fingers crossed that the rain will go away by the time the riders make their ascent! Being Wales though, that might be wishful thinking! Been a lovely day today though.
