MYSTERY BUG

My mother noticed this beauty on our backdoor screen this evening. Discovering my blip for today was a delightful experience for a 104 year old lady! It seems my entire family is on the lookout for interesting blip opportunities for me. This bug wasn’t even 1 inch long – you can tell it’s greatly magnified because of the increased size of the mesh of the screen. Its head looks like a shiny metal, and its wings appear to be a jeweled cape on its back. I particularly like the sparkly zig-zag across its wings. Wish I knew what kind of insect it is. Any ideas?
