Where it all started
Boat Quay, Singapore.
In the 1860's this harbour was a hive of activity handling 3/4 of all the trade of Singapore. The shophouses (along the bank and now dwarfed by skyscrapers) still remain and are now mainly restaurants and pubs.
Once an area of trade, it is now mainly the haunt of tourists and office workers from the nearby towers ....but is still a pleasant place to eat out now and again.
...and thank you for your good wishes - I am feeling much more chipper today
