a town like alice

On the way to Cairns to spend a few days with the lads,the flight touching down at Alice Springs airport for half an hour.

The airport is tiny, surrounded by red dirt and with a real country feel . Apart from the usual boarding announcements there are personal ones such as 'If someone has left a paperback copy of Troy-Shields of Thunder in the coffee shop, please present at the Qantas desk.'
Anywhere else it would surely have gone straight in the bin!
