Knitting memories

There was a fascinating programme on BBC4 last night- Knitting's Golden Age- part of the Fabric of Britain series. It brought back many happy memories of knitting for Ben and Kate when they were little. I bought the old book in the foreground in a jumble sale in 1982 - it has some beautiful patterns and I love the way the owner had treasured the book enough to stitch the cover together.
I am still knitting - my niece is expecting twins at Christmas- great excitement all round :-)
Just realised- that will make me a great aunt !
