Season's Bounty 3

We took the opportunity of a break in the rain this afternoon to go and collect some of the damsons we saw in my friend's garden last week. Most of them were still firmly attached to the tree despite all the wind and rain there has been over the last few days.

As you can see Chris picked quite a bag full (a little over 5lbs) just from one branch! There is more than enough for a batch of chutney but not quite enough for both chutney and jam so we will probably be going back. We have washed them and put them in the freezer for now.

Amazing that there was no crop at all last year.
