To the memory of those who were pioneers
Feeling slightly guilty today. I rarely stop for lunch but today I had agreed to take Rowan to Chatham so that she could take her driving theory test. She passed it a couple of years ago but because she didn't then take and pass her practical test she has to resit this test. I picked her up and we went to Chatham. Dropped her at the test centre and headed off to find somewhere to park and read for 40 or so minutes. I'd not gone far when she rang to say that they'd asked her to come back in 30 minutes. Turned round and picked her up and we mooched around - all the time revising the driving theory - until it was time to drop her back. About 20 minutes later she rang again. They couldn't do her test for at least 90 minutes because they had ongoing technical problems. It transpires that they've not been able to do much all day and at midday there were still people there who had arrived at 09:00. So we headed into Maidstone because Ro needed a bit of shopping and then home and back to work. This tablet is above the entrance to Maidstone Unitary church which is a hidden gem near the Hazlett Theatre. Although the tablet is dated 1921 the building is a couple of hundred years older.
That'll be Thursday then will it? Let's hit Friday hard and fast and then rip into the weekend - On y va
