Collecting shell sand

It was such a lovely day that , although there were a million other things to do, I headed to the beach with my French wwoofer, Benoit with the lame justification to myself of collecting shell sand for the hens. We collected plenty of sand and spent half an hour by the sea . What brilliant weather. I love Autumn.
I've just finished work for the day and Aedan is still out there mucking out the sow. In the dark with a head-lamp.
