The Longest Wait

Saw this dog waiting patiently in a hospital car park.
I spent several hours waiting for my husband to come out of theatre after an investigative procedure.
Eventually everyone else has left.
The waiting room was empty.
The reception staff all went home.
Left all alone just waiting.
Consultant and nurse come to speak to me.
News not good, many tears.
Phone the boys.
A really difficult time ahead.
