Olympian Legacy

Took the train to Bath today to meet a good friend for a long and very pleasant lunch. As I walked back to the station through the new Southgate shopping centre, this impressive sculpture caught my eye. It's a twice life-size torso of Mark Foster, Olympic swimmer, hewn from one single slab of Bath stone by Ben Dearnley.

Click here for a great vid of Ben doing his sculpting thang. That's talent.
