While grabbing some supplies from our laundry room cupboard, my feet suddenly felt very wet. Looking down, I was standing in a huge puddle (lake?) of water stretching across the entire floor. Turns out the water inlet valve on our 6-year old washing machine had failed, a $200 repair. Luckily the damage to the floor wasn't bad.
