There's a phrase we employ now and then on meeting folk, up here ...
"HECK!! The things you see when you haven't got a gun."

Less of a spur of the moment and more a sort of delayed action job, from yesterday, when "Rain stopped play".

We "Took a nash" out to this place, (LINK DEAD Garden centre seems to be too.) a New link :¬(  also seems to suggest similar. Had the ubiquitous cuppa, this time accompanied by a bite to eat.

No prizes for guessing what we saw lurking in the undergrowth by a tiny stream which would in reality barely wet a Hippo's toenails.
