Paradise Beach it has become once more.

The crowds are gone, the regular occupiers from La Linea have returned to their shops and businesses and the more distant visitors from the UK and elsewhere have returned whence they came. A few Scandinavians are here to spend the winter in an ice-free environment and who can blame them?

Now it's just us what live here. And very lovely it is too. Barely a soul to be found on the beach in the afternoon and Buster and I walk alone along the sands, stopping for a dip here and there.

Well I do anyway. He's still not been enticed into the water again. After all, he would argue, you don't find many sheep in the sea to round up.

He's got a point.
